Durabol is a fast-acting form of nandrolone. Nandrolone is chemically related to the male hormone testosterone. Compared to testosterone, it has an enhanced anabolic and a reduced androgenic activity. This has been demonstrated in animal bioassays and explained by receptor binding studies. Nandrolone is one of the few steroids which has been used successfully in AIDS patients to stimulate weight gain (3), and although athletes using NPP in lieu of Deca find it to produce slightly less weight gain, this is probably a result of gaining less water weight. Nandrolone Phenylpropionate, is a more popular drug than Deca for use in cutting cycles recently, due to this fact.
This brings up the fact that although Deca has a very long active life, NPP has a much shorter one, and this means that people are forced to inject at least two times per week, with the more common protocol being every third day. Durabol Dosage
Usual dosage for Nandrolone Phenylpropionate is around 50-100 mg per injection, or a total of 150-300 mg/week with the 1-2 ml injections, which are more pleasant than 2-4 ml injections. Because Durabolin is of higher concentration a smaller injection is used meaning there is less risk of infection and the experience is generally more comfortable.
